Which are the Best Gemstones for a Fresh Start?

The January Manifestation Box theme is “Fresh Starts” and is a simple yet powerful theme to take us into the new year, said the Botanic Gal in her review. 

The letter from Szilvia Gogh is full of inspirational wisdom shared as a reminder that each of us has the opportunity to grow, change and expand each and every day, but also that the new year is a great time to focus on that fresh start too.

Much of it was just what I needed to hear after a year of feeling a bit stuck and lost, so I couldn’t appreciate her words more. And of course I also appreciate that along with her words she’s sent healing stones to take those words and assist with inspiring action. Here’s a closer look at the products in the January Manifestation Box:

Selenite and Tiger’s Eye Bracelet ($29 value)

Each month a handcrafted gemstone bracelet is included. It’s personalized to your wrist size and made with carefully picked healing crystals based on the energies in the Universe to assist your practice. This month the bracelet inspired by “Fresh Starts” is made with selenite and tiger’s eye. The information cards shared that: “Selenite is one of the most important tools in any energy worker or crystal lover’s arsenal through clearing energy blockages, Selenite allows for liquid-like energy fluidity. Its extremely high vibration floods your energy field with the highest vibrations of light.” and also, “Think of the qualities of the tiger. Patient focused, determined, alert. I really like the visual contrast of this bracelet with it’s colors and even the differing cuts of the stones. I’ve always liked tiger’s eye and it’s shimmering surfaces as the light hits it, and also just realized that selenite does the same so it’s cool that they’re paired together and actually match in that aspect. I like that tiger’s eye with it’s dark and earthy color is grounding and provides focus while the bright selenite provides light and clarity. The perfect kick-start to clearing the mind for future growth and a wearable visual reminder of fresh starts.

Rainbow Onyx Pendant Necklace ($29 value)

You will also find a handcrafted gemstone necklace in each monthly box. It is also made with carefully picked healing crystals based on the energies in the Universe to assist your practice. The “Fresh Starts” necklace this month is made with the most beautiful stone I think I’ve received thus far, a rainbow onyx. I don’t think I’ve even heard of this stone before so that makes it extra thrilling. It’s variegated layers of oranges, creams and greens make it so interesting to look at and it’s faceted shape is perfect as a pendant.

The included information for the rainbow onyx shared that: “The russet red of the rainbow onyx is for grounding, the green is for opening your heart space, and the yellow is for activating your inner power. Onyx is a stone of strength, persistence, willpower, concentration, and positive thinking.” The stone that I got seems dominated by the cream/yellow color with hints of each of the other colors, the orange/red next most noticeable, followed by hints of green. I’m thinking that means my pendant has lots of inner power energies which is great for self discovery and self-creation as inward focus and confidence is needed for that journey. I like this necklace a lot and look forward to not only wearing it, but using the stone for meditations too.

Aventurine Healing Crystal ($9 value)

Each monthly box includes a healing crystal, a gemstone or an earth element to meditate with. You can hold it in your palm or keep it under your pillow to enhance your practice. This month the healing crystal of aventurine was chosen. The handy interpretation card included information that “Aventurine is known as the “Stone of Opportunity,” thought to be the luckiest of all crystals, especially in manifesting prosperity and wealth, or for increasing favor in competitions or games of chance. It’s winning energy makes it a great ally for boosting one’s chances in any situation – a first date, tax audit, even landing a promotion. One needs only to be near it to derive its benefits.”

Luck is what everyone wants in the new year, especially after the last few years, right?! I love this stone, not only for those energies it’s provides, but also because of it’s beautiful green color. I like the smooth cube-like shape too, it’s different than other’s I have. This will be a great tool for focused manifestation sessions to invite new opportunities for a year of fresh starts.

Affirmation Cards ($10 value)

This month’s message is “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” -George Bernard Shaw. What a lovely quote of inspiration for starting the new year on a positive foot. I know some people think the new year is just a continuation of the last, but I like to think of it as a fresh start, just like this month’s theme suggests. And each new year provides a possibility to create new versions of yourself and your experiences. This inspiration card will be a reminder to do just that each day, and not just in January, but the whole year through. I’ll have to find a permanent spot for this one. I like that the imagery on this card suggests the opening of a new book, very fresh start feels, though it could be a bit more vibrant and eye catching to ensure the eye is always reminded of the message when it sees the card. But maybe that’s just the designer in me!

When you subscribe you choose your zodiac on the submission form and then each month you’ll get a horoscope sent just for you. I’m a sucker for reading horoscopes so I love that one comes with this subscription. I appreciate how it loosely connects to the theme in that it asks deep questions for self discovery, but is larger in it’s purpose too. My personal horoscope says many positive and uplifting things, but I’m holding on to this snippet the most: “my new year will be better than the last.” And with the horoscope’s suggestions that I’ll find grounding, grow new roots, find new opportunities, focus on mental health and overall find more harmony in life, I believe that too. I really connected to this horoscope and am going to highlight the parts I want to keep returning too.

Final Thoughts

Well I can’t believe that it’s almost 2022, but wow will it be a such relief to get that fresh start here very soon. With the January Manifestation box arriving before the new year starts it was the perfect reminder that the fresh start is coming too. The theme of fresh starts might be little cliche for the new year, but really it’s such a good time to calm the mind and regroup after the adventures of the past year along the holiday rush. The healing stone tools included in January’s box provide the needed slow down energies and are heavily centered on grounding which is key for bringing the thoughts back into the body for forward focus and movement. The stones provide clarity, focus, and luck, along with importantly blocking negative energies. Sounds to me like the perfect pairings to aid in creating new versions of myself for the best new year ahead. I’m definitely looking forward to the coming fresh start, continued self-discovery and also to wearing my new accessories to keep me inspired!
