Awakening the Divine Feminine
The Divine Feminine lives within you, within me, within us all.
The Divine Feminine is an energy, which means she can’t be seen or heard, but she can be felt.
She is the feminine that exists in all living beings on earth, including the ocean, moon, and trees. She is sometimes known as Yin energy, Shakti, Kali, or Gaia.
In our world, we have two energies, the masculine and the feminine. They are both essential as they compensate one with the other; however, to function healthy, we need to balance the two.
When the balance is missing, we end up in a society where there is a toxic environment of taking, using, throwing, and dominating. Awakening the divine feminine has nothing to do with being a woman; it is something that each one of us needs to do to reestablish equality in the environment.
There are several ways to understand and appreciate the feminine divine within ourselves. The first step comes from our own decision to change. Only when we change ourselves can actual change in the world happen.
In our modern world, surrounded by artificial lights, sounds, shelter, we have disconnected from the natural world and lost some of the synergies and binds we had with our most instincts. As a diver, I find my most significant connection in water.
Together with Gaia, Mother Earth, and the Moon, Water represents the divine feminine spirit.
In her truest nature, She (the Feminine Devine) is nurturing, motherly energy, and affection. Beauty, sensuality, and attraction. Creativity and inspiration in their purest form. Peace and harmony. Abundance and the knowing that the earth will always provide enough. Intuitive and fully open to receive. Empowered within. Honored and respected. And she is divinely connected to mother earth.
The Divine Feminine within you is wild, free, and untamed. She ignores the unwritten rules and boundaries that society has constructed for her, rises above, and paves her own way. She is unafraid to speak her truth, embrace her sexual nature, and show up fully and authentically. She trusts her intuition, allowing it to guide her. And she lives in the cyclic rhythm of the moon, the seasons, and the wheel. She understands the sacredness of life and trusts that all her needs will be met.
This is your true nature as a woman. And even if this doesn’t resonate with the woman you are today, the Divine Feminine is still there within you, waiting patiently to be embraced.
Water, in all its forms, gives life on this planet. We are a unique gem in this universe, thanks to the oceans and the precious freshwater stored within its boundaries.
We were born surrounded by the feminine spirit in our mothers' wombs. We should reconnect with our origins; the best place to find our connection is within ourselves. We need to learn more about who we are and tune into our emotions. This process requires dropping some of the self-judgments we continuously find in our lives.
Many of them come from the outside, but eventually, we believe them and not only make them ours but project them onto others. These judgments change the way we feel about ourselves, causing discomfort, restlessness and triggering many of the spiritual illnesses known as depression, melancholy, anxiety, angst. The initial cure to these feelings is to take care of our spirit by repeating, "I am enough."
It is essential to understand that we don't always need to achieve something. We can practice being present in the moment, enjoying the little things, and being grateful.
We also need to learn to say no. No to our constant contact with the external world, for example, through phones and social media, and additional tasks offered to us by our surroundings, work, family, or friends.
Slowing down is very difficult as it awakens the sense that we are wasting time; it can be perceived as lazy and goes against the concept of productivity. Yet slowing down is the best act of self-love and awareness, and in the end, it's the fuel to our lives and positive energy.
Self-love starts from the heart and radiates outward. Repeating or wearing small affirmations helps us become more aware of our spirit and positive nature. As we work with our minds, we cannot forget to work with our bodies. Discovering the divine in us also comes through body and breath.
Deep down, we all feel an imbalance in our lives. But most of us don’t know what that is or what the solution looks like.
We’ve been fed the belief that more equals better. Exhausting working hours and stress have become normalized. And we’re stuck in our minds, disconnected from our bodies and our emotions.
We’re missing that connection to Her, the Divine Feminine.
We can activate the Devine Feminine in ourselves by practice through yoga and meditation, take a walk in nature, listen to the sounds of Gaia, and learn to work our physical tensions through our breath. Awakening the feminine spirit is necessary to heal ourselves and the world we live in.
Our Earth and all nature are the work and creation of the feminine. The trees, flowers, wind, rain, and the soil beneath our feet. The more time you spend in nature, the more connected you will feel to Her and her energy.
People pleasing and wanting to fit in and avoid judgment are the main culprits for living a half-life and failing to figure out who we really are and what we really want from our lives.
There are so many things we believe we have to do or should be doing. But have you ever stopped to think about what your true calling is here on Earth?
For the April Manifestation Box practice I prepared you tools to help awaken the Devine Feminine within you.
Stay strong, stay positive,
