From the day of my diagnosis in on woke up and said "Fuck you cancer".
I was very fortunate, some of my friends have not been. For them I say "Fuck you cancer".
I wore my necklace a lot, usually upside down with the F*ck Cancer facing my chest, so to internalize the sentiment and not offend people that don't care for the language. Everyone that turned it around loved it.
Last week my waitress, who I had never met,out of the blue started telling me she had just received word her mother had stage 3 breast cancer, she was visibly shaken. I took off my necklace and handed it to her and said to please give this to her.. I found it empowering and I hope she does too.
